Workout Room DIY - Basement Remodel (part 2)

Today I started putting beetle kill pine on the ceiling. We chose this paneling for 2 reasons. 1 - it has beautiful grey/blue textural qualities to it that will brighten up the room. 2 - this will put a timestamp on our project to bring in a new chapter of our houses history.Wife shout out! Every time my beautiful wife wants me to do a new project on our house, it seems to come with yet another new tool for my quiver of tools. This project warranted my first nail gun purchase. I chose a the Ryobi 18-Volt ONE+ AirStrike 16-Gauge Cordless Straight Nailer, I will write a blog soon on why I chose this nail gun soon.

For the install of the pine planks I first marked the locations of the ceiling joists and then tried my best to stager the seems as I went through the process of installation.

I had an exposed radiant heat pipe that runs across the ceiling so I purchased some Rust-Oleum Black Indoor/Outdoor Spray Paint from Lowes.  This will work great because it is high-heat spray paint, and it looks great against the wood grain too.
